The Image, or Time

The most important - and most elusive - element of every folio is the Image. It is clear from the tone of the commentaries that the image is more than merely an illustration or allegorical diagram. The Keeper's write about the image as if it were an inevitable natural phenomenon, about which any number of hypotheses might be posed - all of which might be correct yet contradictory. Thus, one might ask if the content of the Synapse myth determined the image, or if, in fact, it was the other way around.
